L. Ballew is the author of the Love On Tap Series (His Ringsend Rose/His Spanish Rose/His Wild Rose).
A series of contemporary sports romances-welcome to O’Nelly’s Irish Pub where the Guinness is fresh, the music is live, and the patrons are basically family.
Bibliobean Books: Tells us a little bit about this series
L. Ballew: My series features three feisty ladies and their sexy Irish football (soccer) playing counterparts.
Their home base is O’ Nelly’s, an authentic Irish Pub in Wilmington, NC, which is manned by a mischievous Irish gent who loves playing matchmaker. In my stories you’ll find delicious banter, heartbreaking and mending moments of discovery, and open door spice.
Regardless of the trials they face, you’ll always find a happy ending at O’Nelly’s!
Bibliobean Books: What inspired these stories?
L. Ballew: A dream involving my first FMC and the Irish trio losing a bet and dressing in drag.
Bibliobean Books: Can you describe your writing vibes in three words?
L. Ballew: Sporadic, but intentional!
Bibliobean Books: What about your writing process? What does that look like?
L. Ballew: I write chronologically and am a total pantser. I’ve learned that whenever I try to make an outline for my characters, they laugh in my face and do whatever they want. So I just let them run wild most of the time. In my second book, I had to take some control and write in scenes where they had to go to work because they just kept crawling back in bed.
Bibliobean Books: What are you currently reading?
L. Ballew: I’m currently ARC reading Thrones of Shadows & Flames by Jenessa Ren, Alchemised by SenLinYu, and Wild Card by Elsie Silver!
Bibliobean Books: That’s quite a few books at once! Do you have anything new that you are working on?
L. Ballew: I have a few things I’m working on, but my next release might be a small town, firefighter romance. But I will neither confirm or deny.
Bibliobean Books: Haha, we love a good tease! Do you have anything you’d like to say to your current readers?
L. Ballew: First, I adore my readers. I’m still in awe of the fact that I actually HAVE readers! What is this life?! My first book was never going to see the light of day. It was just for me. Now it has a small following! Second, please leave reviews for the books you enjoyed! Those reviews and ratings are a life source for authors, especially us little indies. The more our numbers increase, the more our visibility increases!
